tomato
Here is 4.6 hours of data on the Crab Nebula, captured over 3 nights, trying to dodge the moon and the relentless clouds. First off, for anybody contemplating a permanent setup for your imaging, please go ahead and do it! This image simply would not have happened without one, as the forecasts on each night were so marginal, I would not have bothered to set up. Secondly, a dual rig certainly helps, otherwise this would have been about half the integration time, and as I am finding out, more data makes a difference. Details: Dual Esprit 150 rig with ASI 178 cameras (retro fitted with Peltier coolers, more to stabilise the temp rather than serious sub ambient cooling) on Mesu200. ampleamp
Good result, especially given the state of the recent Shropshire skies. Everything seems like a fight at the moment so hope your dual kit piles in the data. That’s what it’s all about, 😁, and enjoying it.
