Trying again

I've owned a cekestron 114eq for years but always struggled and became deflated with trying to use it

Again, I've wanted to learn so this time I've bought some celestron 71009 SkyMaster 15 x 70 Binocular for £62 off Amazon and I'll be out when I can

Hi and welcome to SGL. You should be fine with binoculars but big ones are better with something to rest them on, try a sweeping brush upside down for starters.

Good luck.  I probably use my bins more than my scope at the moment. They are great for breaks in the clouds but also will help you find your way around the sky for your scope. I"ve got 4 pairs now and they all get used. I always take a pair on holiday if there is a chance of dark skies.
