Dew free secondary mirror

Hello All,

 

I'm looking for some help.

I have a 10"dob SW flextube and want to protect it against foging up.

Whats best to use for the secondary mirror?

Can I use a heating strip for that and if so which size is best to buy?

Not sure about size, but the heat pads that wrap around the secondary support work well (By secondary support, I mean the cylinder attached to the back of the mirror). The other option is a camping hair dryer to keep the dew at bay.

with an open tube you need a shroud to protect it from stray light and maybe a dewstip for the dew on the 2nd mirror (altho I don't use powered dew caps) or a regular dewcap on the front that will prolong the dew from going on 2nd mirror
