The moon was hidden when I set up but Venus was so bright I couldn’t resist trying to capture it. This was was just my standard 55mm kit lens. Not the nice slither of a crescent my eyes saw but a nice scene. :)

Very nice image, I also had a go this evening and grabbed a few shots between the clouds.

Looked lovely this evening. I was driving the family south from Bakewell and Lorna (aged 5 3/4 ;)) spotted the crescent moon well before dark. We picked up Venus soon after and from then on they were constant companions all the way home.

Great shot Richard, very atmospheric with the cloud. Sunset was fab too.

Thank you Den, @Stu & @maw lod qan. I was also going to try and get the sunset which was fabulous as you say Stu, but my camera battery was flat 🙄. So I had to charge it for a bit before I could try anything.

Saw this conjunction from my folks place earlier this evening and managed to grab a quick phone shot.
