Moon - It was just there! Imaged in Ha

It was bright. So I put the Ha filter to dim it a little.

43 subs x 0.05s using ZWO 183mm Pro with 3nm Ha. on TS65Q scope.

Processed using Autostakkert 2.6.8 and PixInsight.

Looks pretty good to me, too.  I think I'm going to give this "lunar imaging through a filter" lark a go myself if the sky ever clears...

As I said, it was just there. Looked very clear and bright. No tracking to worry about at 0.05s lol. And it was interesting to use Autostakkert again. Long time since I used that free program.

Very nice. Apart from dimming it, are there any other benefits to imaging the moon with Ha?

I'm thinking that it helps by avoiding any colour correction issues.
