Thro' Window & Cloud - Still Nice!

Had a brief go at the stars around 6pm, but clouded out.

Later, 9pm, spotted the Moon from in the house, waning gibbous, over in the east.  In the room is someone else's basic 70mm frac, so what the heck, let's have a look thro' the window and a load of cloud.  

Low cost 'scope and EP/Barlow, not as sharp as with the usual gear outdoors of course, but still a surprisingly pleasing view!

Isn't Luna great?

Luna is great ... I'm surprised by how many threads are scattered across various forums asking 'what to do when the Moon is out' and as you say, even a small basic scope can give some real enjoyment..

Dead right Mark.  Without the Moon our hobby would be greatly diminished.  It was a bit of fun/enjoyment to see it from indoors with that 'scope, but I won't log it as a "proper" session!
