EQ6Pro replacement ra worm gear

Hi,

I have damaged the ra gear on my EQ6Pro whist installing a belt mod and I would like to replace it.

An older message recommends aeroquest-machining.com but the site is dowm.

Anyone have any other suggestions, a Skywatcher one is a special order item and will take ages.

I know rowan do one here. One came up on ABS a while ago and I took too long to think about it. I guess deep down I would like to upgrade and knew I would probably not get my money back and I have already installed the belt mod and upgraded wedge (mk2).

I had an Aeroquest one but could never get it to work, I then read a few weeks ago that certain mounts never worked with it as they were machined so fine and the EQ6 or rather some EQ6 were not up to the task

@blinky do you know if they still produce them as I cannot seem to find a working link to aeroquest. I have seen that they were not that much money so might be worth a go.

Hello,

I got one from pierre-Astro.com (well it’s coming)

I have also got housing from Rowan as mentioned above but doesn’t include the worm gear.  Looks good and well made.

Will update this thread when it’s all installed and hopefully up and running.

Don't think so, that was a few years ago and back then I think it was a couple of hundred £
