Bit of solar activity 28th October 2019

I had a quick go with the 72mm and Herschel Wedge this morning and noticed a bright patch towards the limb. This seems to be new activity which is rotating into view so will be interesting to see how it develops.

It showed up on the solar images in my app, attached.

It would be nice to have a bit of WL activity/contrast for the 11th Nov transit... seems to have been ages with not a lot going on (in WL)..

Haha this comment reminds me of the wife's reaction to a glass of good rioja.. she gets all giddy, and fidgety with a hot brain as she puts it, and that's after one glass, two and I have the evening to myself!

not sure why I had to share that bit.

Checked again today and couldn't see anything in WL. I guess it has progressed onto a brighter part of the disk so the contrast is less. Probably still visible in a larger scope or Ha.

Thanks for posting this heads up Stu. Out of interest, what’s the app you’re using for the images?

This one is called 'The Sun now' and seems quite good, it's an Android App. It has an archive of previous images too which is handy.
