I've been lucky enough to be sent one of these astropgraphs for review. It's a bit of a monster! 

I've done an unboxing on it so far...but hopefully when this weather clears I can get imaging and do a review eventually.

Just ordered one from FLO so interested in your thoughts on the RASA 8 and it's images. I'll be fitting a Celestron motor focus to mine (I bought that for an Edge HD 8).

f2 has to be a focus job best handed over to motor focuser

nice scope F2 is awesome but very specialised and less flexible in terms of possibilities than with an SCT. Faster but doesnt have the focal length for many tasks. For larger field a cheap APO does the job, ok you will need more exposure time for same data but then you have an extra grand in your pocket.

 

look forward to seeing what this is capable of, but the last review i saw by trev at Astro backyard didn't really wow me.
