Walking on the Moon

M42 RGB only.

I have been asked by a number of French imagers why I use narrowband filters when I live in one of the darkest parts of Europe. Clearly they see narrowband as a pollution-buster when we see it as a route to additional information as well.

Out of interest, then, here is the more conventional RGB only version.

Olly.

Hi Mark,

That image was just with our little ZS66, 0.8 reducer, EQ6 and Atik 16HR mono. The 127 refractor, 16ic and AstroArt did the guiding.

I have loaded up the Genesis for a closer look at the Rosette and M42 but the small matter of a snowfall is getting in the way!

Cheers,

Olly.
