If I'm playing anything tonight, it will probably be water polo...

Well, the rain has stopped here and been replaced by fog!!!  Forecast says it will soon be burnt away.

Slight hint of a big yellow bright thing in the sky at the moment, I understand that it rises every day in the east and sets in the west. Haven't seen it for so long I can't quite remember what it's called.😣

Aye that’s something my grandad told me he once saw when he was a boy. Called the sun apparently. 😀

Well after yesterday's horrid weather we now have a rather odd colour sky. Looks blue to me, where's the grey gone? And I see an odd yellow ball in the sky, not seen it before.

Maybe, just maybe?

I'm not saying if I have anything planned as the weather gods are sure to scupper them.

You know we could do with a new thread called “Fantasy Forecasts” to cover the usual forecasts. 😁😁😁

Uniform grey here, despite the current bun's vain attempt at an appearance this morning. Getting bored with it now CO indicates I have a clear patch tomorrow evening, but I have  seen that before. Might have to find some bladderwrack next time I am on the coast to hang up in the porch; after all accuracy is everything:BangHead:.

We enjoy watching the weather in Gravely Blighted from a safe distance. :hello:
It is not unlike reading the washing instructions for fragile garments:

Cool rinse, extended cycle. Do not Spin, Bleach, Iron or Dry clean.
Should be cool tumbled with tennis balls to break up clumps. :happy6:
Lay flat to dry away from direct heat. Creasing is to be expected.
These will drop out with extended wear. Shower proof only.

Avoid naked flames and sparks! :angry4:  Recycle sensibly.  :icon_colors:
Thank you for choosing Gravely Blighted Hair-ways.
We hope you enjoy many years of our pleasure. :tongue2:

CO forecasting 30% cloud however there's barely a clear patch of sky. Met office shows it should clear up after 9pm but I wouldn't bet on it.

Has somebody at the Met Office pushed the wrong button?

The sky is clear here......

I was forecast two hours of clear sky from 7pm, but 7pm came and the forecast changed to cloudy :(  And then five hours solid of heavy rain from 11pm.  What a joy!

I've had a couple of clear hours here so I've been able to have a session with the Rowan AZ100 mount. Clouding over now so thats it for tonight I think. I'll get onto writing up some notes .....

I was hoping to, its clear at present.
But just back from the Physio so now sitting with knees iced for a while.
Perhaps the clouds will stay at bay?

First time out in a few weeks for me and first time since I had the QSI583 camera serviced. I have shot a new darks library, so now testing 15 min Ha subs on M57 to see how they compare with the 5 min subs shot previously. Sky isn’t great with poor transparency, but this is as much a test that everything is working as it is capturing meaningful data. I won’t be able to process anything for a while as my main processing laptop had a fatal BSOD about 10 days ago, so that’s in the repair shop with my fingers crossed that it can be recovered, not least because all my processed astro images from the past 2 months were on it and not backed up....☹️. If the laptop is U/S, then I’m looking at another ~£1500 outlay to replace it 😢
