If you are unsure about this, why go for the hand controller-less wifi version at all? Unless they've discontinued it, you can buy the 127mm Mak (and other scopes) on a GoTo mount with Synscan cabled hand controller.   Similar to my Celestron 127mm Mak SLT GoTo.  I bought this some years ago now and still use the scope and the mount.
