Apollo 11 memorabilia

During a business trip to Washington DC this week, I had a chance to visit the National Air & Space Museum.
Lots on Apollo 11 of course, but I found the most interesting thing was Neil Armstrong’s tool bag. It only came to light after he died in 2012 – his wife found it in the wardrobe.
Whilst there I picked up an Apollo 11 50th anniversary half dollar coin for my collection.

Very nice.. I was after one of these also.

I managed to mark the 50th with sending a happy anniversary message to Micheal Collins including an image of my Apollo 11 watch, and getting a 'thank you' reply... really made my day!

Rob

P.s the watch was given to me in 2015 - I think (though need to check) its No 78 out of 200 made
