Meridian Flip and Image Process

Hello ,

It's my first time that I do imaging and meridian Flip...I thought that in that way I can get more images to stack but my question is that since the images will be flipped how do you stack them ?

Is it in 2 sets?...pre-meridian flip set and after meridian flip set ?and then you just merge them ?

Stacking software will first align the images (star alignment) and rotate those that need it. Just load them all at once

Technical note: they are rotated rather than flipped. As Wim says, any competent stacking software will handle this and the effect on noise is very favourable.

But make sure to tell the software that there is a 180 degree rotation. I don't know about APP, but in Astro Art there is a box to tell it what the maximum rotation should be. I think it defaults to 30 degrees so will reject the subs after flip if you don't adjust the limit.
