Around 22.48pm, bright meteor, whiter than Jupiter and slightly brighter passed across the dome slit whilst I was observing Jupiter. From the 6ft opening it appeared to have come from  the Cygnus area and dropping at around 30 degrees to the horizon towards Virgo. Would have been spectacular in a dark sky. Anyone else see it?     😀

5 minutes past my bedtime in CETland.
Jupiter was being occluded at intervals by the shorn grass of the neighbour's lawn.
The sky was still so bright I needed skiing sunglasses with side shields. :glasses1:
It must have been your noctilucent clouds.
Haven't you heard of light trespass? :tongue2:

Sounds awesome.... I (obviously) haven't seen that one in particular but I had situations where I was observing and I seen fireballs streak across the sky, a few of them were very bright (one brightness cast shadows) and lasted quite a while.... as far as shooting stars are concerned, there were hundreds.
