Hooray for the Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector!

Not the best Jupiters ever, but not too bad given it was at or below 14 degrees. ASI2120MC, 150PL and x3 barlow.

Great timing as I by setting up in an awkward spot to get it later than usual I caught the transit of Io and the Red Spot.

Beginners luck - first run seems to have the clearest Io,  just visible to the right of its shadow.

Nice set of images, you can't beat a transit :) I was wondering, does the ADC have much effect? I guess what I'm asking is, have you done a before and after on the same night and noticed any difference?

A huge effect, you can see it on the screen, or using an eyepiece.

With the ADC set neutral the blue and red flare at top and bottom of the planet was about 1/5 of its diameter.

Here's some 2016 examples of how much an image can smear without an ADC, and why I got one.

My timing here in Fla always seems to put the GRS out of my viewing times.

Don't rely on Stellarium, it's quite along way out at the moment, although the moons are accurate.
