Eastern Veil Nebula

Had been gathering data on NGC 6995 before the current run of bad weather here in the U.K. .. 

using Chroma Ha 3nm and OIII 3nm filters 

22x 600 sec@  -20 Ha 

12 x 600 sec @ -20 OIII 

5.6 hrs total 

processed in APP and PS , synthesised Green channel

That's come out very nicely Brian, and I think you have stepped up a notch.

Possibly the background colour needs balancing a bit, but great image. 

I prefer this target in bicolour, I tried adding Sii to mine and didn't like the end result.

Thanks Carole and Gina .. PC gone wrong at present, SSD drive gave up , so can't adjust the background as suggested Carole .. will have a play around when up and running again ..

Very nice, my favourite part of the veil.. what was your equipment as some of your stars have spikes, others don't..

Looks like they've been added in post, as neither 'scope in the sig will give diffraction spikes, or at least shouldn't.

Yep star spikes added in PS . this was taken with my 130EDT ..
