Sunspot "Fried Egg" Effect Now!

I only use a Baader filter with the ST120, so nothing spectacular, but I thought I'd have a quick look at Sol for a change.  I minimised the shadow, then swung the 'scope about a bit and captured the target after literally seconds using x25/3.28deg.

There was a large sunspot near the limb, looking to the west, and two fainter, smaller ones nearer the centre.  Up to x120, the dark centre was roughly circular, with a small appendage, and there was also a circular grey region around that, hence "fried egg"!  The solar continuum filter did not reveal any more, and turned everything green of course.

x150 - less clear.

So just 15 minutes up to 1.45pm.  That's enough exposure for me!  Hoping for some other stars this evening.................

..........................well it didn't happen, but I remain optimistic.  Glad I at least got some action in during the hours of daylight.  Looking at that large sunspot, it was fascinating to think of its magnetic flux density being thousands of times greater than Earth's, also that it is thousands (perhaps many thousands) of miles across.  Being relatively large, it will probably persist for some time.
