For sale Lunt 80mm with double stack & Solar Quest Mount

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I’m looking to sell or Trade my Excellent Lunt 80mm Pressure tuned solar scope comes with factory Feather touch focuser 1800 BF also the best posable double stack you could get for this scope an external LS75mm these are as rare as hens teeth and can be used as external stand alone 75mm scope when fitted to a Refractor both are in very good condition and views are full and rich also as the double stack is external much brighter image than the normal internal 50mm double stack available for the 80mm all come in metal flight cases I am also including the Skywatcher Solar Quest full GOTO Mount this amazing Mount just point it left of sun turn on and self aligns in minutes and centres sun in eyepiece using its on board camera all this  set up would have cost new over £10k new images shown taken through this scope

I am looking for £5500

Or swap for a Premium Refractor 120-150mm such as Takahashi or Astro Physics Or May consider Portable Dobsonion 16” and over plus Cash depending on your scope

i would also be interested in a Avalon Mount with matching tripod or similar

also trade or sale for just the Lunt 80 if you don’t want the Double stack 75

Hi it’s in the advert

That's the price new though? I suspect that the question from Mars Aspen-Murray was more to do with your asking price of the items second hand (although your title does say TRADE), maybe you don't want to sell).

LOVE the animation :)

It's certainly a unique set up with the 75mm ,

and the real key to DSing is having a nice bright

accessible image , which this will display.

Hi Brian yes this does far better than than the 50 or 60 or Even the 80 internal which is 50 mm really and beauty is you can have the Etalon as a single stack 75mm as well

It's a beautiful thing, shame we're at solar minimum or there might be more interest.

Does the SolarQuest cope alright ? I was worried about putting the LS60DS on mine

There is a means to increase DS brightness but it's

not for the faint hearted and certainly not one

I'm willing to discuss here.

It may be minimum but lots of flares etc more than you get at night viewing  😂 the mounts brilliant copes easy even with the double stack
