Morning of Tuesday the 16th and the spot still shows a cross-shaped bridge in white light as it approaches the limb:

heres the AR wednesday. seeing was a bit ruff today, nothing that a frame cull couldnt sort out.

Just snapped some crude white light shots by holding my rather old mobile to the eyepiece of my 4 inch refractor with the Herschel Wedge in:

I found this image of AR 2738 elsewhere on the web with some Earths added to show it's scale. Impressive !
