AR2738, very impressive

Recommended Posts

It maybe the Solar minimum, but the Sun is still capabable of producing some large Sunspots. A/R2738 looking very impressive yesterday evening. I did plan a dinnertime session from work, but left the mounts counterweight at home (you have to laugh) so it was much lower by the time I got to image it.

Captured with a Lunt Herschel wedge, Skywatcher 120mm, DMK21au618. Should get some even better views at the weekend when its facing Earth.
