Rusted
Another all day sun. Nothing visible in WL. In H-a we have a dark oval near the limb with a bright spot on one edge at around 9.00 [east] Fringe of small proms nearby. Two bigger proms at 2.00 [west]
Rusted
The disturbed area of plage, with what looked like short filaments, is now a fully fledged [but still tiny] spot and half in White Light. It is still tiny even at 220x! So you'll have to look hard for it at 9.30 east nearer the limb at about 1/8 solar radius. In H-a this morning's dark oval has become brighter all over and twice the size depending on precise etalon tuning.
Davey-T
Thanks for the info, saw that area on GONG, I was forecast Sun but got rain instead looks like by the time the Sun appears here it will be too late. Dave
Rusted
I brought out my 90/11 Vixen with Baader Solar Foil to see what could be seen. The spot was much more obvious in that even at low powers. Three tiny spots now at high power in the 180mm. Would it be cruel to say that it's all day, wall to wall, sunshine here again tomorrow? I hope your forecasters are better than mine then as there was wall to wall sunshine forecast for today here Dave
