What is this plug called ? I'm sure I should know but can't think what it is, sort of cross between a VNC and S Video plug.

That kind of locking connector is called a hirose connector as far as I'm aware.  They're not uncommon on "machine vision" type cameras.  Possibly also on CCTV cameras.
