connection problems

After getting everything powered up  and connected up to my laptop get cdc started up then connect it to the mount no probs so far. But when I select  an object then select slew nothing happens and then telescope marker disappears.  I've checked the site info on both eqmod and cdc are the same and they are. Any help will be most welcome.

When you say nothing happens...do you mean the mount does,nt move.

Yep the mount does not move

Do you have the correct com port selected in ascom set up.

yep that's the first thing I looked at

can you hear the motors on mount energized

As paul said in eqmod does it say  port found ?

com port ok (com5 used) yet when I start eqmod on it's own I'm able to slew the mount but the problems happen when it's all conected to cdc

This may sound silly,but i have done it....is mount on ok,and have you connected mount in ascom.

Also when you click connect in cdc, when window comes up does it say POTH at top of window,it is a simple thing thats wrong,i had the same thing happen and it was a simple thing i had'nt clicked,but i cant remember what exactly i done.

in box in cdc that red show it is green to confirm it is connected or is it still red

Are you connecting via eqdirect  cable to mount or st4

So if you put say m42 in search box and click slew what happens in cdc window

mount stay put the telescope reticule goes to the eastern horizon.

Even try all your cables just incase something is loose.

Have you tried rebooting pc just incase of a glitch

try changing to poth  mount connection  and see if that works ,your not using the handset in the mix  aswell are you
