Moon 4 pane mosaic from 18/02/2019

This is the result of my first mosaic attempt. 4 panes processed in GIMP.

Today was all about getting the alignment. Removing join lines etc. is for the future.

Comments, criticism and advice more than welcome.

That's a big image! Love it!

Give Microsoft ICE a go (microsoft.com) - it's free and does a great job aligning and balancing images automatically. A real time saver

Hi,

A nice mosaic. I for sure would try to get rid of the seams in the mosaic. Until these are gone it will be difficult to process the image any further. different techniques are possible. automatic mosaic with MS ICE, manual by using layer masks in gimp.

You have a promising image. Curious for the final result.

I have finally foun the time to install and run ICE. Her is the result- same panes used as the first mosaic.
