STAR ADVENTURER POLAR ILLUMINATOR

Anyone know where I can get an adaptor that fits the illuminator to the slot in the dovetail, I'm sure I saw someone 3d printed them or supplied them !

If I read your request correctly, you are looking to fit the standard Star Adventurer illuminator to the slot in the dovetail 'L' bracket.  You don't need any adapter - just a small modification to the illuminator.  As you know it fits snugly into the polar scope hole, but is just too wide to fit in the slot in the bracket.  But by *carefully* trimming two of the lugs, it will then fit snugly in both the centre hole and the slot.  See photos below.

Seems the Sky-watcher Polar scope illuminator now comes with a rail adapter. I just received a star adventurer pro system and it included a adapter.

I don't have a 3D printer and unlikely to get one. A lens hood can be simply made for the illuminator from a black plastic 35mm film can.
