February 27, 2019: Iwamoto, M36, M38, and more

Recommended Posts

Managed to get the scope out yesterday (APM 80mm F/6 with 0.8x reducer and Canon EOS 550D, and grab 142 60s lights on C/1028 Y1 Iwamoto, near M36 and M38. As it turned out, I also grabbed NGC 1931 and IC 417, and some faint streaks of H-alpha that I cannot find the names of near and below M38. I stacked on the stars in APP, and did a quick post process in GIMP. Still need to work out how to stack on the comet and combine with a stack on the stars in DSS.

Not the best of results, but not bad from my suburban garden, under hazy conditions when some idiot hadn't turned off the floodlights on the football field after training
