M42 to Canon EF Mount suggestions please

Hi all

I need an adapter with a male or female M42 thread to Canon EF mount so hook my Canon lenses to my astrocam. 

Struggling to find one though - can only seem to find ones to attach a Canon camera to a scope and not a lens to another camera.

Am I stuffed using this though. Back focus of the lens is 44mm and adapter is 18mm leaving 26mm. 

However my filter wheel is 25mm and the CCD 17.5mm in the camera body.  

Apologies, it’s one of the areas im weak on - does this mean it won’t focus to infinity?

Hmm.. Well 25mm + 17.5mm = 42.5mm which doesn't leave you a lot to start off with. Maybe you could use a different fw or a

quick changer instead?

And 18mm for the EF adapter. Doesn’t look like it’s going to be easily achievable.

I'm sure there are others around. The TS filter quick changer is only 10mm optical length

Have a look for macro extension tubes. They have a female EF bayonet fitting and are modular. At the other end I have a 42-62 step ring to connect to the astrocam. About £10 if you shop around
