I have always wanted to meet SPM, I remember watching The Sky at Night when i was a little lad.. He used to be my story teller (didnt really take to story books) I would have so many questions!

i do have Sir Patricks Telephone number, indeed i have chatted to him on numberous occasions.

To be honest knowing how tired and frail the man is now i just would not have the heart to bother him.

I used to write to him every month and still have all the letters. Was invited to his house twice as i am given to understand it. First time failed as he was injured with a cricket ball. Then i was invited to his 80th b'day party. i never got the invitation.

I did meet him once as kid. I have hoped to have the honour again, but i wont push it.

Saying that i have several friends who know him well and see him on a regular basis. so you never can tell ;-)
