Mineral Moon help needed ?

OK, so far I've only imaged the moon in mono but the other night I shot in rgb as I'd like to give mineral moon a go now. I've had a play but no real idea of what I'm doing. I only have Gimp and star tools on my pc. Has anyone else achieved a mineral moon using these? Thanks in advance ?

Hi,

what you'd want to do is gradually increase color saturation. It's best done is several adjustment layers each increasing saturation about 10%. now and then adding a color balance layer might be necessary if some colors get too strong.

As above if you have PS do it as a new adjustment layer increase saturation by 10% each time, but watch the hightlights for over exposing.

I am sure Gimp should do it but if you want a very good editing package at a very reasonable price then have a look at Afinity Photo it does pretty much all that Photoshop can do, I think there is free trial available too.
