I found a lovely image of a comet on AB's Top Picks - C/2018 Y1 & NGC2903 (color)

So, I decided to play with CdC and follow a couple of comets over the coming weeks to see if they pass anything interesting.

These are from UK skies as I appreciate other parts of the world will have slightly different views.

Comet C/2018 Y1 (Iwamoto) and IC 405, Flaming Star Nebula, SH 2-229
2 March 2019 --The comet brushes past fairly close.

123P/West-Hartley  and NGC 3486, 3510 and 3504
4 April 2019. -- The comet sits in between the three galaxies.

I am sure there must be many other instances in the coming weeks that have comets passing interesting objects.

It would be fun to check out, skies depending :)

Dave.
