What all do i need to power my 450d from the mains,fed up with battery running out.

If you want to power it from the mains you'll need a battery emulator like this.

yep, a mains lead, a power supply & the battery replacement.....   I have a few for my 600D's etc....

Looks like everything you need to me.  I've always used one with my 450D.  Basically it's just a power supply and a "fake" battery.  You should find there's even a cut-out in the battery cover on the camera that allows it to close with the supply cable feeding in.
