I'm not really into cosmology, but thought this was pretty interesting.. looks like a jellyfish or something from ghostbusters, doesn't it?

I have a question, too.. in the second (side by side) image of the SNR, did they mix up left and right? If the left one is what's there in visible light, why don't I detect that odd shape in the eyepiece? I've always seen a smoky patch which resembles the shape of the image on the right.

Yes they have mixed them up - but I think they have actually got the expanation wrong as well...
