We need to appreciate ingenuity of it, surely ...

And this one is pure pearl:

Scrolling along at some of the pictures there are some showing it "installed" complete with axes and tube rings. Looks entirely bespoke and very serviceable for bomb-proof  visual use. And indeed, it looks weather proof! :)

Just a shame that the only bit for sale is the least adaptable.

Assuming the latitude is correct and it was pointed north, am I the only one that thinks it's ingenious?!

🤣 I can't believe this hasn't sold yet.  I must have first seen this in November, it has been relisted several times, obviously there is no one out there who can recognise a bargain. 🤣

As ridiculous as this is, it had me laughing aloud, especially the shot with the makeshift EQ mount on it, with the crooked pier jammed in the ground LMAO! having said that I wonder how much shipping to Canada would be?

Posts about a post, I'd say it's not a real telescope mount but have nothing  concrete to support it!

He's got me as a buyer if he includes this essential accessory. Can't use that mount without one of these attached!

I wonder if the South West Herts Astronomical Society can shed some light on this unique piece of hardware? The historic equipment guys will have a fit if it gets lost forever............

I see it has been relisted as a "Preformed concrete pillar ballast" 😃
