Guest
Does anyone know if there will be an IAS show this year and what dates? I have heard rumours of 15/16th Nov but after the poor turnout of both vendors and people last year I wonder if it will go again. Owen
Alan White
According to the IAS Facebook page and an answer to that very question. Yes IAS 2019 is happening, they are finalising contracts and will release a date very soon.
michaelmorris
Hopefully it won't clash with The SGL star party again.
Ouroboros
For all sorts of reasons I wish they'd move it back to summer rather than October. But if it must be October please steer clear of the new moon.

Trentend
Are there likely to be vendor discounts on the day? Looking to purchase a feathertouch focuser.
Guest
I think there may be small discounts but margins in the astronomy business are not great so don't expect huge ones. I would also think with the collpase of the £ anything coming from the US is likely to be more expensive the longer you leave it. I would also not expect many people to carry a Feathertouch focuser in stock. These are more likely to be special order. Owen
geordie85
There's usually around a 10% discount on most things. If you look at the vendor list, I'm sure if you email one of them they'd be happy to bring it with them if they have it in stock
Robny
Do you have to buy entrance tickets in advance or can you just pay on the day? Is the price the same? Thx Rob
Alan White
Cheaper in advance, if you want to attend talks, book in advance as some sell out.
