APT 3.63 - Important Fix

Recommended Posts

NewVersionBanner3_63_500.png.cbed2aef7c0e88b9b75d530564c2cc65.png

If you are using dithering and PHD2, please upgrade to APT 3.63 in order to avoid the possibility for imaging hanging in case of temporary guide star loss! The update is needed even if you are using 3.57…

We are using the release to include some improvement and fixes in AMF (Automated Median Flip), DARV fix for Nikon cameras and also the “automatic settings restore after crash” feature we just finished.

The Moon will soon start getting smaller so update your APT and be ready for the next imaging session!

Thanks for the fix... although I must say that I never experienced a crash and I use dithering, phd2 and have temporarily lost guide stars.

Interesting :) Do you have "PHD2" selected in Gear Tab->Guide? Maybe you were lucky the star loss to happen when dithering move was completed... Anyway it is better to have the latest version installed ;)

Yes I have PHD2 selected and use PHD2.6.4 for guiding... perhaps I was lucky and had a "time bomb" that hasn't gone off?? the bug fix very welcome... APT is awesome...

Managed my 1st automatic meridian flip last night, it worked perfectly, just need to play with the delay settings as it stopped capturing then took what seemed like ages to flip. Everything appeared to work as expected, just need to look through what I got.
