Doing some darks today and after a few hours noticed the cooling had stopped, went to the obsy and everything is switched on but the fan has stopped on the ASI 1600 and it was too hot to handle, obviously i switched everything off at the mains and disconnected every thing, Has the cameraa had it? havnt changed no settings or anything only had it 16 months so not happy

A question or two that ZWO (or their reseller) will probably ask.....

Have you measured the USB 5V supply voltage? Not just assumed it is a good 5V supply.
Ditto for the 12V cooling supply.

If I was dealing with the problem, I would be asking about the type of power supply used for both.
Maybe grab a couple of pics to help?

I'm just trying to make your dealings with ZWO quick and easy.

I believe these cameras have a two year warranty so provided you have not blown it with a power supply fault, you should be covered.

A hot camera may be because the peltier cooler or fan has failed, nothing more.
A fault that should be able to be repaired.

Electronics (the expensive camera bit) should survive being too hot to touch for hours and hours.
