Yes an afocal adapter.

I had one ages ago. Made by Astro Engineering. Came in a plastic 2 part case with foam filling.

I never used it. Basically you needed a lightweight camera. Though at the time, lightweight cameras (that I used) were useless at night.

I don't remember what happeded to it. Probably the case was more useful than the adapter.

I’ve seen something similar under my bathroom basin for moving the plug up and down.
