To celebrate all of the great imaging challenge winners and runners up this year we wanted to give everyone the chance to pick their favourite image of the year :) This includes the tail end of 2017 as well where the winners were announced in 2018.

The winner will get a special badge in their signature and the glory of being the favourite SGL image of the year!

Everyone gets one vote - votes end 31st January at 23:59 and results will be posted shortly after.

As a recap, here are the winner announcement for each challenge:

The voting has been extended until the end of the month as only a handful of people have voted so far.

just a suggestion, but it might be easier as a comparison to have all the images viewable in single thread if that could be arranged.

It certainly would if somebody has some time and wants to volunteer to put such a thread together :)

Nice one JOC!

I think there are a few missing though - I counted 23 in the thread and think there is 38 in the vote.

Ah!  there are more than three entries in some of the threads - joint winners I guess - I was stopping after three pics in each thread - I'll have to go and round them up otherwise not fair.

Grant - I've found a couple of the joint placed ones that had been genuinely missed, but am I being cyboshed by the size limit for attachments - I had actually pasted in all the rest of the photos but they have just not come through and I can't make them happen.

Possibly but it should tell you if it's doing anything like that. Maybe post them as multiple replies within that topic?

I can't think why else it wouldn't work.

OK, I've tried again - at the moment my view here is showing them down to M22 by Adry which I think is the last one - are we there yet

My counting also says 38- check!

Too hard to choose! Technical and aesthetic merit abounds in all of them so in the end I just had to pick one that appealed to me.

I suspect that is what most of us have done.  Even then I found it hard to pick between three of them.

Presumably the final result is what those of us who voted can see?

Is there any news  on Competition #19 (or even Competition #20?)

This and #19 will be officially announced tomorrow.

#20 is being judged at the moment so will be announced early next week.
