tripod Shorter tripod extension tube

Is there a tripod extension tube that works on the SW EQ5/HEQ5 tripod and is shorter than 40cm/16" (the length of the stock SW tube)?

Would be cheaper to buy a standard half pillar and get an engineer to cut to length and redrill.

Holy moly! That's expensive for a piece of cylindrical aluminium. Why do Vixen like to overprice some of their most basic accessories?! I'll need to see if I can find some local shops that do this kind of cutting/redrilling.
