I have an ancient pair of GreenKat 12x50's that are older than me. Excellent optics, but heavy as hell. Great for that quick peak though. I have a little 80mm GOTO refractor, and some days i can't be bothered to even get that out. The bin's are just the ticket. Although i think that x12 is a little high powered without a tripod, i have difficulty holding them steady for any period of time, but the tripod stops them from being so useful.
