in all seriousness I think that's actually one of the reasons it doesn't matter as much as people seem to make out :happy7:

That's what I was thinking. My left eye sees more colour and my right eye is a bit sharper. I can't afford to go the bino route yet though!:dontknow:

Was that a case you had lying around or did you buy it? It looks rather good and I like the space for books/documents idea.

I bought it from a car boot sale for about £5, bought the foam for £8, bargain.  Just need to decide on layout now.  I may just put in the eyepieces, filters and star diagonal for now.

We all like a bargain.? I like the shape of it.

My newly cobbled together eyepiece set after selling most of my hi end eyepieces to help fund my Tak FS128.

All Japanese glass ?..

From left to right:

Vixen LV4mm

Tak LE 7.5mm

Celestron 10mm plossl with reticule

Pentax XL 10.5mm

Meade 4000 swa 13.8mm

Meade 4000 15mm plossl

Tak LE 18mm

Meade 4000 26mm plossl

My latest iteration.  cannot use the 20mm and 11mm pairs as they will now be wrapped until my anniversary at the end of the month.  just enough space for a pair of 8mm and a 9mm Delite.  no money though now until crimbo unless I sell something I want to keep!

By heck lad, there is a lot of Televue going on i that case, are the 32mm slightly different in length?

Hooray! Finally able to reply to this topic with something more than my (excellent value but mediocre performance) Revelation kit.  Just picked up my used 22mm Nagler from the Widescreen Centre, after they kindly sorted out a serious smear on the eye lens. I'd been saving a space for it in my new case, and here they are as a family for the first time:

I like it, however how do you carry a few at once securely, how do you store them, and how do you know what's in each bag?

Fair comments. This is mainly for stowage in nooks and crannies of carry-on backpack. Once on location, I use this neat bum bag by Geoptik.

Very nice Mike - I'm also a convert to Nagler T6s, so I'll be very interested to hear how you get on with them. Does this mean you've jettisoned the Vixen HRs?

Oh, no. My 2.4mm HR is still in the fold, as are a few others not in this holiday snap.

It is a sign of my times, though, moving from the larger, heavier Ethos (back) to the more compact power of Nagler.

Makes me feel old fashioned, in these heady days of Delos and DeLite. I like that. :happy11:

The T6s are very nice, perhaps a little less 'in' at the moment, but they are lovely compact eyepieces, I often forget they are 82 degree! I fancy a 13mm at some point.

Great idea?. And just to avoid criticism by the LAEM (League Against Eyepiece Maltreatment ?), I do normally keep them all in bolt cases/boxes in a pluck foamed Ali case....

Certainly a very smart and neat looking case Shane I'm just glad I don't use a binoview or anything green and black. My Missus wouldn't understand me buying a spare ep each time.

Well I never though I'd be swapping my eyepieces around again after a couple case of ES 82° & 100° eyepieces seeing me good for many years but hey, here is my now downsized and even more budget friendly ep set.

At least my wide field M31,36,37,38,44,45, double double, veil, Rosette interests are still covered :)

It's more of an astrogear case than an eyepiece case. It's not the most impressive eyepiece collection either. However, I'm really excited to have my own case! I've already seen so much more than I thought possible and have a lot more to see. Can't wait ?

Well actually... I wasn't wondering

But seeing as you felt the need to confess I'd like to try and reassure that help is available  by pointing out there are helplines for such afflictions...

Here's mine to add to the pantheon. The big case is mostly for use with the vx14, the little toolbox of SLVs is for use with the small scopes.

Everything hinges on long eye relief and prefering not to use Barlows / powermates.

Probably my favourite is the 22mm Nagler.
