Given the lack of accuracy though I will have to set the alarm to check with my own eyes during the night. 

Looking at the satellite images you wouldn't have to drive far to the east to get a clear sky.

I was just about to write the very same thing. Been staring at the forecast all day and our friends in the South East seem to be in luck.

Work tomorrow but a drive east might be my only chance to get a view. 

The unreliable forecasts frustrate me.

Heavy cloud here in northampton. 

The last lunar eclipse in 2015 was my first year studying astronomy and I stayed up all night to witness the event. 

Not so lucky this time around. 😭

Decided to set up early just in case, standing by with plastic sheets incase the rain starts!

Test shots coming through ok though albeit through a light cloud haze.
