How to enter longitude Nexstar 6SE?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

im having trouble entering my longitude in the Nexstar system. My longitude is

 -2° 38' 56.26" W

and I can’t enter the -2 into the system resulting in not the best alignment because I just leave it at the lowest, 0°. I’m sure I’m missing something pretty simple here

Thanks!

I don't think it accepts the position in that format. So far as I remember '-' equates to W and + equates to E.  And you don't need the fractions of a second which probably equate to about 1 foot linear distance.
