I had an unexpected clearance in the late afternoon yesterday with the Moon competing for attention with Mars in the SE.
Went out for a look through the 7" f/12 refractor with the air temperature at 32F and the wind blowing straight through the slit!
It [The Moon] was much sharper than last time and I went up through the gears from 32 to 26 to the 10mm for 216x.
It really was very windy and the more I increased the power the more the Moon "boiled."
The temperature difference between inside and out of the observatory was only half a degree F.
Fortunately it clouded over again so I was saved from another bout of hypothermia and box of Kleenex.. 
Am I having fun yet?  :icon_biggrin:
