Does anyone know what thread size TeleVue and Meade use for the safety screw on their eyepieces?

Sorry, not those. I meant the safety screw on the 2.00" nosepiece e/p's, (i.e. TeleVue Nagler T1's and Meade Series 4000 UWA's), so that they can be used with a 1.25" diagonal etc.

It will be imperial but not sure which.

I found a thread on another forum that stated that Tele Vue had confirmed that the safety screws were imperial 10-32 UNF 7/16 inch long.

I'm not familiar with imperial fittings so I hope that makes sense !

The 10 (or #10) is the unitless diameter and 32 is threads/inch.  I don't know if they're common in the UK, but most big box home improvement stores in the US carry a wide assortment of UNF threaded screws including this one.

The UK would call this a 3/16" UNF .....
