Managed my first pic of a very faint M31

Eventually got out Sunday and managed 20x60 sec subs taken with a Canon 1100D and an old Astron 70-200mm SLR lens @ f4.5 on my HEQ5.

Not the best pic and the focus and tracking is not great but I'm happy with it and importantly to me I have learned some things that I can carry forward and improve upon.

Thats a great start.

tighten the focus up and sort the tracking, it'll all come together eventually, every day is a school day especially with imaging, just keep at it.

getting plenty of data will certenly help. I use a 'Lord' focus mask for my camera which helps.?

good luck and dark skies.
