Imaging 46P with mono CCD?

Recommended Posts

I’m at a bit of a loss of what sort of exposures etc I should be taken.

Ive just been out and it’s started to rain so I’ve packed away.

During the short time I had under the stars I had PHD tracking on the comet. I was taking 90s shots using R,G,B,R,G,B, 2x2 binned in one camera, and 300s luminance with the other camera unbinned, so approx 1 lum to the three colours RGB.

Im getting significant trailing in the stars but obviously the comet looks ok.

Im not really sure what to be doing so would be very grateful for some pointers.

Good luck Adam.   Not giving it a go with a OSC  ??     I'm got a 150mm F4 and the QHY 8 pro limbering up for it, should it clear the tree !!!!

I don’t have a OSC unfortunately Sean. Doesn’t really lend itself to mono RGB filter imaging.
