Celestron CG5 Adv GT Oscillations

Hey guys,

ever since I got this mount, it's been over a year, I've been having these weird oscillations. They seem to be random and it doesn't matter how good balance, polar align or star alignment I have. They're appearing and disappearing randomly, sometimes I can shoot 2 hours with a good guide graph and other nights I can't take a single image.

Here you can see that the oscillations eventually smooth out.

This one is much longer period of time and you can see that they're in amplitude as well as periodicity.

I've tried factory resetting the mount, all different settings in PHD2 but still nothing. Could it be that gears are simply worn out?  I'm saving up for Cem60 but I would still prefer if it would be fixable.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Jan
