Budget grab'n'go

Mrs Ally (aka SWMBO) has asked me what I'm expecting St Nick to bring next month. I've decided on something I can just pick up and pop into the back garden with for an impromptu half hour etc. My thoughts are either table top dob or binos (15x70, they may also require a tripod). I'm open to any and all suggestions. Budget would be south of £100 (not a lot). Can anyone help ?

Or you could try this - if you get in quick.  Tripod would be needed but you could knock something up with a bit of wood for a trapezium type thingy.

Given the fact that you have a lovely 14" scope, i'd suggest a nice set of bins. 15x70 are good (apparently). You could go bigger for £100, but that wouldnt include getting a tripod.

15x70 would also require a tripod.

I use my 15 x 70s with a monopod. It gives almost the same flexibility as hand-held, but without the shake.
